I get compliments on this mare everywhere I go! From her easygoing personality to her looks, she’s definitely an eye-catcher.
Oakley is SAFE. Grandma safe. Kid safe. Family safe. Baby safe. Trail safe.
I ride with my one-year-old on her and 2 year old by herself and know she will take care of us.
This horse doesn’t have a mean bone in her body—she’s as sweet and trustworthy as they come.
Oakley is bombproof on the trail. She doesn’t blink at wildlife, bikes, strollers, bridges, water, semis, heavy traffic, dogs—you name it. She’ll cross, go over, or go through anything you ask. She’s very sure-footed and makes an impressive mountain horse. She handles steep or rough terrain with ease and can pack in and out a lot of weight thanks to her stocky build.
Oakley is a great babysitter for teaching young kids how to ride—any age, any experience level. She has more “whoa” than “go” and loves just dilly-dallying around.
Oakley has stunning gaits! She’s slow and steady, voice-trained, has a nice, quick stop, and knows how to stand when asked.
She’s had ropes thrown off her, been part of my kids’ vaulting practice, trail ridden extensively, taught kids’ lessons, done camps, competed in our gymkhanas, been in town, pushed cows,carried flags, walked over tarps and done just about everything you can imagine on our ranch.
Oakley is easy to catch, great for the farrier and vet, self-loads and backs out, great around farm life and wildlife, loves baths and water, and will stand tied all day.
This mare is phenomenal for so many disciplines and can go just about any direction you want to take her.
