8-Year-Old Pony Mare. 11.2 hands. This handy little pony mare is fun! Hedwig is best suited for a rider who wants a pony that enjoys having a job. She’s smart, curious, and always willing—definitely not the babysitter type, but a great partner for a kid ready to step up. She’s truly a been there and done that—trail ridden through rough terrain, crossed water, roped off, worked cattle, worked in the arena, and exposed to just about everything. She’s not spooky and takes new situations in stride. She’s easy to catch, loads and hauls like a pro, ties quietly, great for farrier care (little kids can handle her feet). She’s UTD on all care including dental, goes barefoot, and has no history of founder. During the summer months she does require a fly sheet, as bugs bother her. She completed a 60-day professional tune-up in June–July 2025, where she was loping barrels, doing WSCA games, trail riding, jumping, continuing arena work.
