Aka; “ King “is an exceptional horse who has captivated everyone who encounters him. His gentle nature and friendly demeanor make him an absolute favorite. There is not a mean bone in this horse’s body!
This gelding possesses all the qualities of an ideal horse and a lifelong partner. Always eager to greet visitors at the gate and gets along with all types of horses, ponies, and livestock. He enjoys treats and grooming time and is a favorite among our veterinarian and farrier. Kingdom exhibits impeccable ground manners, demonstrating proficiency in groundwork, basic liberty, and some ground tricks. He is eager to learn new skills and is a pleasure to be around! We let our 2 year old daughter halter and bring this horse in to the barn to be groomed all by herself!
Kingdom is a versatile horse capable of handling various terrains. He is well-suited for trails, including the challenging Poudre Trail with lots of commotion and chaos as well as the rugged Rocky Mountains. His surefootedness allows him to navigate rough terrain effectively, whether it’s trail riding or pack and pick work. He is accustomed to the hustle and bustle of city riding, including encounters with strollers, bikes, runners, trains, and even highway traffic.
In the arena, Kingdom showcases his impressive skills with a beautiful walk, jog, and lope and we have been told by many he has one of the smoothest jogs and lopes they’ve ever ridden. Kingdom also has a sliding stop, back up, spin, and side pass. He has demonstrated his versatility by participating in roping, dragging logs and tarps, walking over tarps, carrying a flag, performing drill team exercises, and even pushing cows and being around roping and brandings.
Kingdom has also been introduced to English riding and is actively learning to frame up, hold a good collection, watch his feet over cavalettis, and navigate small cross-country courses and cross rails in the arena.
Regardless of the challenges we present to him, Kingdom consistently delivers exceptional performance. His unwavering dedication and love for his owners have earned him the respect of all around him.
If I was searching for a horse for my toddlers – this would be the one. Though young he has an amazing head on his shoulders that you can’t find just anywhere.
